Museum of World Religions · A connected multi-platform experience.
In collaboration with the Museum of World Religions, we originally designed the "Sacred Realm" themed spaces and stories across four themes — Christianity, folk belief, Shinto, and Buddhism — building richly detailed environments. As players collect artifacts, they learn the background and stories behind each piece. The project supports multiple platforms, including Web, mobile, and VR versions.
Sacred Realm features four meticulously crafted sacred spaces. Built upon thorough research and detailed design, each space highlights religious symbolism and sanctity with near-realistic immersion and cinematic visual direction. Paired with thematic music for each religion, the experience enhances the feeling of presence as users explore the environments.
Sacred Realm balances visual detail and performance, with 3D-modeled artifacts and objects that highlight intricate craftsmanship. The project emphasizes both aesthetic fidelity and efficient rendering, allowing users to explore and appreciate numerous subtle elements throughout each scene. Below are four example screenshots, showcasing just a few of the many details available for discovery.
While exploring, players can enjoy a mini-game collecting artifacts scattered throughout the scenes, each paired with related information; simple puzzles let players unlock detailed artifact stories through the answers they find.
